I would have to wonder if that would just be temporary fix. It sounds like your front leaf springs have flattened out causing it to sag a bit. New leaf springs should be a more permanent fix and last longer. Do you have any breaks in the front leafs?
No, all springs look fine but may possibly be wore out. I know new springs would probably the best thing to do but its money that is in the way right now. Dropping 4,000$ into my new motor is going to really hurt the wallet. I may end up holding off till i can afford new springs.
i would be looking at ways to cut down that 4000 motor if moneys tight. i would be looking at a rebuild AND springs to try and fit both in that 4k price tag.
Wow, returned??? I have never herd of that, what is it?? Also, a spring shop? Is it a garage or a garage that only does springs? does it make them perform like new as well as correct sagging? That kinda makes me mad, i just bought a set of heavy-duty replacment leaf springs from jcwhitney for a 88 bronco II i have, and paid about double that, and they dont look stock, a lot thicker. Any more info on this??? I always thought that springs wear out because the metal looses stiffness like if you hit a fender with a hammer...looses its straightness???
