Sagging front leaf springs/ebay add a leaf

The front leaf springs on my 03 F350 seem to be sagging a bit. I don't see any cracks in the springs.

The truck is completely stock. A couple questions:

1. How do I know for sure if it is sagging?
2. Has anyone tried the add a leaf kits on ebay eBay Motors: ADD A LEAF LIFT KIT_FRONT FORD F250_F350 99-04 4x4 (item 310044144841 end time Apr-30-08 06:51:26 PDT)

If I find that the front leafs are sagging, is adding leafs the best way to solve the problem? I don't want to lift the truck beyond stock.

At stock level, the springs are almost straight accross. If you are into a "negative arc" setting, yours have sagged. I used to run a single add-a-leaf in the front of mine (see gallery) I now have a mini spring pack leveling kit. The add-a-leaf will do fine for what you are wanting.

I don't like add-a-leafs, they drastically change the spring rates and if your shocks aren't up to the job the ride will get uncomfortable. Moog makes some replacement springs, and I am sure there are other manufactures making OE replacement spring packs.

Those look like the Tuff Country spring I put on my F350. My springs too had a negative arch and the extra leaf brougt it up about 1.75''. The front sit a little below level, so when I put a load in the back it levels out the pickup. It rides great with the extra leaf.

Thanks to all of you for the info. Mine have a very slight negative arc. I am not sure if I will replace the entire springs or go the add-a-leaf route, but I appreciate your help.

Curious who has done a levelling kit with new front springs and how you like it- I'm considering going this route on my truck when I get there. I don't want the ride to get much rougher is the kicker... do the spring level kits maintain a stock ride? Also, it seems most kits allow you to run the stock shocks and trackbar, curious if anyone has had an issue with a levelling kit and either the shocks or track bar.

Most leveling kit I have seen for 99-04 are either add-a-leaf or mini spring pack that is added to original springs. It this is what you are talking about, My Tuff Country kit works fine for me. Not much different than stock ride. It used the factory trackbar but comes with a new bracket that lowers the bar. I went with longer shocks just because but you can use the factory ones with a leveling kit. (Just a side note when ordering a leveling kit. I ordered one that said it fit an F250/350. We all know the F350 sits higher in the rear than an F250 so what I wound up with was higher in the front than in the rear. So I used the old add-a-leaf that I took out of the front and put it in the rear. Now it sits level as an F350 with the kit on it.) Sorry for the long post........

Can't you have the springs rearched? I don't know how strong it is but I had a heavy truck suspension shop install an add a leaf on the rear of my old f-150 and they asked me if I wanted the factory ones rearched because one side was 1.5 - 2 inches lower then the other.
