I popped the hood and pointed out what my wife needed to do to mount a headlight wiring harness upgrade, then handed her the tools ( she's been wanting to gain more experience working with her hands). I did pull the battery to install the relays on the inner fender, though.

Funny my wife came out to the garage to tell me she was going food shopping and asked what I wanted for lunch meat.
In the 4 years it took me to rebuild the truck the wife has not spent much more time than that in the garage LOL
She / you will love the head light relays I installed a set in my truck and love them.

She used to venture into the shop or garage only if life depended on it, but lately she's gained interest; she learned how to run a circular saw last week, and was grinning ear to ear the whole time.
My F-250 is a retired firewood truck that is being readied for a comfortable semi- retirement as a truck camping rig that can be dismantled for the occasional job ( all the amenities are designed to be easily removed, freeing the bed up for lumber and the like). Driving at night has always been harder than it needs to be due to those dim headlights, but tonight, we'll be able to see quite a bit better.

I polished the bed tool box for the first time in 3 years today. I forgot how much I dislike polishing diamond plate aluminum. Looks much nicer now though. Not bad for a used tool box i bought off offerup thats probably 20 years old.
The other day I looked into why my front 16 gal. tank was reading 3/4 after 210 miles as it should have been empty!
Well rear 19 gal tank showed 1/4 tank? The tank switching valve defaults to the rear tank so started checking why.
Found the fuse for the AXU FUEL blown? started looking and a week or so ago I pulled wires for a trailer connection and I tucked the fuel switch valve back under the valve.
Well the splice I did had a thin layer of liquid tape and it shorted out so we loaded up the liquid tape and hope it will be good now.
Last night took the wife out for dinner and a little ride.
First time she has been it the truck since I installed the over drive, carpet & got the AC working.
She also helped marking down the MPH and RPM when in direct & over drive.
Also think I heard an exh leak I will need to check into as the system is fairly new front to back so who knows where it could be/
Project is never done!

On my 1980 F150, I replaced the windshield washer reservoir,coolant overflow with new one from Dennis Carpenter. Old one was cracked and leaking. Replaced the windshield washer pump and hose going to nozzle. Can't see how to replace nozzle easily, but it works OK. Can finally wash windshield!
I installed my new-to-me bezels, bequeathed to my truck by the Old man F-150 in my local Pull-A-Part ( it's a shame it's in the yard; the truck even had A/C, which you rarely see on a 300 I6). Other than a few screw holes, it's in pretty good shape, and it even has the metallic finish.
I ordered some new wheels up and finally got them. I ordered some middle of the road HT/AT tires but they came in the wrong size so the discount tire manager upgraded me to the pathfinder AT tires at no chrage which are considerably more expensive. The wheels are Procomp 1069-6882 wheels, 16X8 0* offset 4.5" backspacing. They fit great and the tire size is LT265/75/16 load range E and the truck rides and drives so much better with these vs the steel wheels and LT235/85/16 tires.
Yesterday I let mother nature help wash the truck.
It was raining pretty good and the dried dead bug on the front are he11 to get off so I put the truck out in the rain for and hour or 2. I then got the bucket of suds and washed it and then let the heavy rain now rinse it off for an hour or so.
Did the same on the Durango as it had old black pollen baked on the roof.

Just finished my Bullnose: Totally rebuilt the motor, 30kover, bumper to bumper 4x4 drive line redone, removed the box and replaced it with a 8x10 flatbed, mounted a Knaak 6' tool box. Now to repaint !
After looking at some of the things people have done to address the lack of cup holders I did this. Mounted a piece of wood to the bottom of the seat frame and then put two of the folding cup holders on it. They fold up out of the way and are perfectly positioned now.
There was 2 reasons for doing it in the rain.
I the hose I would need to wash it in the drive way is 200' long and the drive is only 50' from the hose bib and I cant undo the 2 100' hoses. Going to have to look into this someday.
Also where I have a shorter hose is also out in the sun so by the time I get a panel soaped up and get the hose to rinse it has dried leaving it looking like I did not wash it.
The rain kept the panels cool & wet for washing and rinsed. Parking back in the garage to dry left almost no water spots because it dried slowly.

Where did you get the holders from? The hardest part for me is I have the shifter handles for the NP435 & over drive that come back close to the seat in that area.
