Iam having trouble with my diesel stalling out when I use the wiper delay.
I had Ford look at it and the put in a new computer...that didn't work.
I just replaced the multifunction switch...that didn't work.
If I am driving and the wiper goes on it will stall or make the engine miss. I know it is a diesel it doesn't miss, drive it and tell me. If I am at a stop the engine will stall. After three misses a light will turn on. I have had it checked and no codes turn up...I hate this
It is a 99 250 super duty with 250,000 miles. It only misses when the delay is on not when the wiper is going full time.
Does any one have an idea where I can look next?????
Thats just weird...
I am not a Power stroke guy so I can't give you the best help, but has every ground on the body, engine and frame been cleaned and tightend?
I don't see any corrosion on the truck. As it stands everything else works perfectly. Thanx I will be looking at them even so. Can you tell I am desperate.
Okay heres a thought, what if the wires have rubbed bare inside the steering column and it's the wire that comes from the ignition switch and intermittent switch?
