I am sry i can not offer you any advice i this ... I used doug thorleys Shorty's and they came with the o2 senor already .. seems to be working well.

What didnt you like about the hookers? I have the Hooker Comp LTs, and I love em. I had the exhaust shop weld in an o2 bung in the pipe after the header
Id bet you got a faulty header. Mine supported mufflers like in pic for over 2 years, bouncing around off road, and never broke anything. Sucks to hear you had problems.
