I have done a lot of searching and found one guy that had my same problem but he never recieved an answer so I am hoping that someone can help me.
Problem: When shifting into reverse, nothing really happen at idle. If I apply thottle, it will move but acts like the ebrake is on or like it is bound up. When I shift into neutral, it pulls forward like I put it into drive. BUT, it does not seem to respond to throttle. Shift to drive, 2, or 1 and everything is fine and drives fine. It also seems like the truck lunges forward when I shift it into park? I have recently performed a full flush on it about 4-5K ago. The fluid level is fine and looks good. I checked the linkage and everything seem correct. I also replaced the MPLS switch but it had no effect.
Any ideas? I hate to calling tranny shops because all they want to do it rebuild it.
I'd rebuild it. There is nothing electrical that can do this. It seems that the forward clutch is not releasing properly. This means it's damaged, so it has to come out.
