It's been 2 months now srkr. Still loving it?

And did you get the software upgrade? I'm asking because I have a 97 F350 with the 7.3 that has been totally problem free and looking to move to a more current truck. My dad was a mechanic/machinist and he always said not to buy a car the first year out of production. Is this still good advise in this case?

Good Morning,
Yes I did get the software upgrade. IMO, So Far, I believe Ford hit a homerun with this truck. I did buy the Premium Plus 4 year 100,000 mile warranty just in case.

I"m getting close to the 2 month mark, but I already have 5950 miles. So far, so good. MPG keeps getting better and it might be my wishful thinking, but it seems to be getting more powerful too. Not by a lot, but I just had my oil changed for the first time and I kinda surprised myself when I goosed it to get into traffic afterwards. a bit more grunt than I was expecting

If you're really cautious, wait until several 50k+ reports come in - maybe another year. Then you will know for sure. For me, I decided that if Ford was willing to bet the farm on this new engine, I'd bet with them. Good luck!

I agree, you guys need to wait on purchasing one. Especially don't buy that ugly brown color.

Everytime I stop somewhere I get asked so many questions. My chest fills up with pride and answer as many questions as I can.

A lot of people have heard about the truck and STILL haven't seen one up close.

LOL Shane! I know the feeling. Every time I park in a public place, people stare at me and I feel a little self conscience until one of them starts asking questions. People certainly are interested in these trucks or they may just be trying to figure out what kind of fool pays that much money for a vehicle!
