ok so i have a 79 f100 2wd swb, i will be buying new bfg radial t/a tires this in two days i am thinking p275/60r15 for rears and p255/60r15 or possibly p255/55r15 for the fronts, does anyone have a truck with these tire sizes or which tires would look best on it i want a muscle car/hot rod look, my wheels are smoothies 15x8s.
Hi Shadow, You are really going to want to have all four tires the same size. Our trucks don't exactly have sport tuned suspension and they tend to be hard on tires. Keep in mind, you will only be able to rotate your tires side to side and not front to back. If you get a directional tire, you won't be able to rotate them at all. I speak from experience. My BMW ate tires and it was perfectly tuned and it starts to get expensive especially with the monsters trucks tend to be riding on. Pick you the largest street looking tire you can find that you like in the same size. I just don't think the different sizes are worth the hassle. JMO
