Need Help installing flex plate
Long story short, fired engine builder and turned to someone else for help completing the build. 460 externally balanced. Have flex plate that was use to balance rotating assembly, but not on motor when got short block back.
Question, Does it matter where the weight is when I mount it?
Ready to drop the motor in and this is holding me up.

With the externally ballance flywheel or flexplate, it will only line up all the bolt holes in one position. Otherwise you can't mount it wrong.
Internally balance flywheels don't matter how they mount so the bolt holes line up every which way.
