Just wanted to know if anyone uses the Absorber Chamois cloth to dry their trucks? Personally, I love mine, used it this morning in fact. It seems the more I use it, the better it works! Anyone have any comments?
Also, anyone have a good way of wiping down windows without leaving streaks? I've been using that chamois and then wiping it again with a soft terry cloth....seems to work. Any ideas?
The Absorber is a great synthetic chamois, been using them for years and they last too. A quality window cleaner (I use Ardex, a detail supply company brand) and have had no problems with it. It is hard to clean windows without streaking though, and a good cleaner and paper or shop towels have worked for me with good results. Hope this helps a little for you.
Thanks guys! I never really thought about shop towels, I'll have to try that. Newspaper and Windex never seems to really work as well as everyone says.
I have used the same Absorber for 20+ years and it still works great.
I use Turtle Wax Synthetic Ice all over the truck to quickly wax the paint and it works great on glass too. Goes on easy and wipes off without streaking. Rain water runs off the glass better and longer than just cleaning the windows.
You wax the glass? I apply Meguiar's cleaner wax (paste) at least once a year, but I wouldn't use it on the glass. Maybe if i used a liquid wax? I've really never thought about it.
