manual vs. electric choke
I have an 84 Bronco with the 351W H.O. The carb is the factory Holley model (reman. carb 1 yr old) with the electric choke. I have had soooooo many problems with the choke not working properly due to sticking, the wire lead coming loose from the alternator, etc. that I'm planning to replace it with an Edelbrock 1405 with a manual choke. Is this a better idea, or should I stay with the elctric choke?

I know if it was me, I would have alot more problem with the control unit to the manual choke that you are with the electric choke.
I know that because I have alot of problems with that same control unit in other applications.

I'm interested in getting a manual choke kit for my '86 F150 I6 with the Carter carb-- does anyone know where I could find one? My heater tubes are shot and I would rather not mess with them. Maybe even a full electric choke kit?

I bought a choke kit from Autozone for my 390 when I ditched the electric choke. You use have to know the size of the choke and what it looks like. The set up is kind of mickey mouse (cheap), but, it has been working for me six months now.
