Lurching and running poorly

Got the truck back together and it has run great for three days. On my way home tonight, it immediately started lurching and not running smoothly and has thrown a code. I have had this problem before, about a year ago. That time the Injector Control Sensor was bad. $200 later (guess what, another effing FORD only part) and the truck ran great. Now, the same symptoms today. I'm getting real tired of the crappy bad luck with this truck.

Does anybody know who may have aftermarket parts like sensors? I know that Ford said that I couldn't get o-rings and such from anybody other than a dealer, well I got some from an aftermarket guy. He chimed in here so I am holding out hope that I can find some. I'm now financially tapped because of this damn truck so buying rip-off FORD parts isn't possible. No truck, no work. I'm pretty angry.

That, I don't know. If it is the sensor, I'm thinking that they are just junk. $200 junk.
Waiting for my brother to bring his scanner over after work tomorrow and then we'll know for sure.

Is there another way to check them without a scanner?

OEM parts are going to be better than aftermarket. I guess you don't know what code was thrown? You can unplug your icp and if that help that's probably your problem.

Please correct me if I am wrong. If the CPS is bad the truck wouldn't even start, right? Already had that replaced under the recall a year ago.

Not the IPR, that was cleaned when I rebuilt the HPOP. I'm thinking it is the ICP sensor.

I'll go try that now, but if it's unplugged wouldn't that still make it run crappy?

Check to see if you have oil in the ICP. If unplug it and it is the issue it should clear up.

Check engine light still on. started fine, idled fine with the sensor plugged and unplugged. Last time this happened truck seemed to run fine when the engine had cooled a bit, but once it got warm, crappy running.

Can those be cleaned? Also, if unplugging it will let it run right, why do they even have it? I find sensors really confusing, on all vehicles.

But why will it run better if the sensor is bad and unplugged?

No you can't clean it.

It runs better because it defaults to a stock table, but it is just a fail safe as you will be lacking power and efficiency.

So if it is bad then that's it? Just replace it? Should I ask the dealer to replace it? It is less than a year old.

If it has oil in it, what would that indicate?
