injector pump interchange

can i use any 6.9 or 7.3 injector pump on my 93 or dose it have to be from the same year i thought they were all pretty much the same

The 6.9 and 7.3 pumps will interchange. The only thing is they may not be caliberated right.

best thing to do is after you swap it, time it by ear then take it down to a shop and have it timed right.

So only thing is timing is there a better year to use what about from a Turbo truck mine is non turbo

The only difference might be that a turbo pump will have the torque screw on it, but it works just fine in N/A applications.

Thanks guys I'm trying to get one and get my truck going again I found rebuild kits for the pump for $28 wonder how hard that would be

with out a manual it will be very hard and do you have a pump calibrator

on this subject, the only difference online that i see is the transmission. Could you just bolt the vacuum regulator valve for the C6 onto any injection pump? I would imagine they are built the same.
