I recently swapped from a ford 300 to a 351w in my 89 bronco (don't know how to put pics up, but I do have a few. And also the know how now if anyone has any questions) and have decided that now is a better time than ever to dig myself into some more work.
It has the usual rear quarter panel rust (BAD) and a few rust holes here n there...so what I've decided I'm gonna do is just cut all the rusty metal away until theres no rust, but instead of replacing with fresh metal I'm gonna rebuild with fiberglass.
Does anyone have any suggestions about what I can make a skeleton out of to fill the holes?
And I'm just gonna paint it with rustoleum acrylic enamel I don't even know if I'm gonna clear it...I just wanna kill kill kill the rust for now..
I'd be interested in seeing some pictures. Maybe you can put them under the My Garage area, or start a album. Use the photo editor in microsoft to save pictures as *.jpg.
While I'm doing the body work, I think I'm gonna try and tackle all the rust on the frame as well. What I'm gonna try and do is use a wire wheel on an angle grinder and try and knock all of the rust that I can, then maybe hit it with some rust reformer, then get like 10 cans of black rustoleum and just DRENCH everything down there..
I know I can't stop it..But will this at least slow it down?
