86 f150 is sick
86 f 150 efi,was running fine and just quit. has no spark. It has new wires,plugs cap rotor. It turns over fine . Just tried a new coil,no luck. Could it be the tfi modul? Any ideas would be very helpful. Thanks.

If the TFI has never been changed on the distributor, it certainly couldn't hurt, and it would eliminate the problem on down the road for a while.
I'd replace it just for this fact, but have it tested first, and then get it replaced.
Autozone should be able to test it for you.

Before you go out and buy an ignition module spend he $13.00 on a Hayes manual they give the complete test proceedure for checking it . My 86 302 had a bad ground and I would have bought the new module and it still would not have worked. The only tool needed to troubleshoot is a VOM( Volt Ohm meter) it's actually pretty simple to do.
