Ford Video Series: Ranger – The Science of Truck

We previously showed you a short clip of the folks from Ford Australia torture testing a Ford Ranger pickup truck. Now that video has led the Aussies to create an entire short-video series titled, “Science of Truck,” which highlights the Rangers super-strength.

For a midsize truck, the Ford Ranger is mighty capable. In this video you’ll see a short recap of the various tests they’ve put the truck through, including some pretty insane ones. In countries like Australia, the Ranger is sold in nearly 30 different combinations ranging from a simple chassis cab for industrial operations, to full leather interiors with 4×4 drivetrains and turbo-diesel motors. The Ford diesel motors are rated at over 7,000 lbs. towing capacity, and are meant to be durable work horses.

The same story applies in most South American countries, where the Ranger is a major player in the mid-size and commercial truck industry. We’re hoping that last week’s rumors regarding the Ranger and Bronco pan out, and we’ll see one state-side sooner rather than later!

Enjoy the video!
