TRUCK YOU! A 1955 Ford F-100 & 1953 Ford F-100 With a Twist!
Ford has been making outstanding rides since the beginning of time. Or, rather, since vehicles became relevant. That’s not to say that the Civil War, the Renaissance, and the rise and fall of the Roman Empire aren’t relevant events in history, of course. But the creation of the assembly line and the Ford truck are pretty up there…
So, let’s set our calendars on April 25, 1925, when the first Ford pickup truck rolled-off the assembly line.
Today we’ll be stepping into the garage of FTE member, austint513, and taking a closer look at her wonderful Ford trucks!
Austint513 is the proud owner of an absolutely spotless 1955 Ford F-100. Produced just thirty years after the first Ford pickup, this ride definitely gives us an authentic look into the past of these beautiful vehicles.
Sharing the garage alongside the ’55 is a 1953 Ford F-100, but there’s a bit of a twist to this already intriguing ride. The plan with this old school rig is to throw the body on a 2000 Ford Explorer chassis with a 5.0-liter V8 engine. Because, who doesn’t love a good ‘ole Ford restomod? While it might seem odd to some, it’s the endeavor that austint513 has taken on and we’re excited to see the results!
