Couple Q's about my new truck

My 26 f350 2wd has dual batteries and alternators.

That seems odd for a 2wd truck. Isn't that usually on an ambulance package, snowplow package, winch equipped or cab and chassis truck?

I have the 5th wheel prep package. There is a 7-pin trailer plug with what looks like a 12-pin plug. I have never seen a 12-pin plug. What's that for?

There is a cover on the right side of the bed. none of my other SD's have had that cover. What's that for?

I think that cover is for pro-power onboard, iirc.

that is correct. If you had PP there would be an electrical outlet there. The 12 pin is to connect trailer tpms, yaw sensor, blis and camera to integrate with the truck. I use the TPMs and yaw sensor on my fifth wheel.
