This Wild Ford F-350 Super Duty Is Truly the ‘Ultimate Farm Truck’
Built specifically to be the ultimate farming rig, this 2020 Ford F-350 Super Duty is chock full of cool features.
Many enthusiasts are – at the very least – aware of the many cool builds that have come from the confines of Sparks Motors in Utah, mainly because they’re TV famous, courtesy of Discovery’s hit show, the Diesel Brothers. Despite battling a little controversy surrounding the modification of emissions devices, Heavy D and Diesel Dave continue to enjoy tremendous success both professionally and on the small screen, but we were particularly interested in one of their more recent builds – this wild Ford F-350 Super Duty known as the “Ultimate Farm Truck,” which was put together specifically for that reason in partnership with microbial nitrogen products seller Pivot Bio.
The construction of this Ford F-350 Super Duty was documented across five special episodes in a series also called “Ultimate Farm Truck,” but instead of just building what they think that might consist of, the Diesel Bros sought out advice from folks that actually do that kind of work. “We traveled to different farms and asked farmers what they wanted and needed in a farm truck,” said Diesel Dave. “What we found helped us build the perfect truck for them. “We build a lot of trucks, and this one was by far one of our favorites. So much so that we didn’t want to give it away because we fell in love with it ourselves.”
The crew started out with a 2020 Ford F-350 Super Duty Lariat Crew Cab, but the finished product doesn’t really resemble that mass-produced model very much anymore. That can be attributed to the addition of a laundry list of aftermarket upgrades on the outside, which start with beefy bumpers, 200,000 lumens of Raycore LED lighting, and massive fender flares, which cover beefy tires. From there, however, things get pretty unique compared to most similar builds out there in the world.
The Diesel Brothers fitted their Super Duty with a custom flat bed, a set of toolboxes with integrated inverters, a welder, generator, two 70-gallon auxiliary tanks, a fridge, and even a boot washer so the winner doesn’t have to worry about tracking mud – or other nasty stuff – inside the cabin. It’s a pretty amazing build, and one that the new owner – Scott Peterson of Miller, South Dakota – is obviously enamored with, as he should be.
“I still can’t believe it, honestly,” Peterson said. “It was mind-blowing. I was having a pretty bad day when I got the call that I had won. It has taken a long time to sink in. I never dreamed I would ever win anything so cool. It really turned a bad week of combining soybeans into a crazy week of emotions. I can’t thank Pivot Bio and the Sparks Motors team enough.”
