A recent report suggests Ford might start accepting orders for the 2021 Bronco lineup as early as next month.

Earlier this year, the blue oval brand revived its Bronco nameplate after a 24-year hiatus. Ford’s reboot of the lauded SUV received an overwhelming response. Fans flooded the build & price configurator of the 2021 Bronco and caused the online platform to crash soon after it went live. The excitement for the SUV does not seem to be dying down anytime soon. Ford currently has over 190,000 reservations for Bronco’s upcoming model range that will launch in the spring of 2021.

According to a recent report by Ford Authority, the Dearborn-based car giant might open order banks for the 2021 Bronco as early as December 7th, 2020. The report also adds that the upcoming model range might enter production on March 22nd, 2021, at the company’s Michigan facility. The website further clarifies that all proposed dates are tentative, and in case of unanticipated production hurdles, the company might revise its schedule.

Pre-production versions of the all-new 2021 Bronco family of all-4×4 rugged SUVs, shown here, include (left) Bronco two-door in Cyber Orange Metallic Tri-Coat, Bronco four-door in Shadow Black and Bronco Sport in Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat.

Ford’s T6 body-on-frame vehicle architecture will underpin all 2021 Bronco models, unlike Bronco Sport that uses a unitized body-and-chassis platform. The company also offers its T6 platform in the Ranger pickup truck which will be manufactured alongside the 2021 Bronco models. The engine options for the upcoming Bronco range are limited to two EcoBoost powerplants that include a 2.3-liter straight-four and a 2.7-liter V6 engine.

The four-cylinder motor churns out 270 HP of maximum power and 310 lb-ft of torque, whereas the V6 powertrain puts out 310 horses and produces 400 lb-ft of peak torque. Ford offers a 10-speed automatic transmission across all Bronco variants, but the 2.3-liter inline-four engine is offered with a 7-speed manual gearbox as standard. For an additional $1,595, Ford will upgrade any 2.3-liter drivetrain by installing its 10-speed automatic transmission.

Customers can choose from six different Bronco trims starting with the Base Bronco model and advance up the line up with Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Wildtrak, and the top-of-the-line Badlands model. All 2021 Bronco trims are available in both 2-door and 4-door body types, and the build and price configurator for the upcoming lineup went live earlier last month. The company has confirmed that it will be adding more accessory options before it opens order banks for the 2021 Bronco.
