Ford F-100 Milk Truck: Pure Patina’d Perfection
If you don’t mind some rust and a few cobwebs, this killer Ford F-100 delivery truck looks like one awesome project.
These days, patina is cool. To the point where it’s hard to believe that there was a time, not long ago, when people simply didn’t want to be seen in old, beat up trucks. Today, the more surface rust and weathered paint, the better. Which makes this incredible 1956 Ford F-100 milk truck up for grabs at Gas Monkey Garage perhaps the coolest thing we’ve seen in a while.
As GMG’s owner and purveyor of hair gel and designer jeans Richard Rawlings would say, get you some of that! But in addition to building crazy custom vehicles on his hit show Fast ‘N Loud, Rawlings also likes to flip just about anything he can make a buck on. True to form, it looks like he plucked this old Ford from a barn and immediately posted it for sale without doing a thing to it.
Heck, they didn’t even bother to try and get it running or even put air in that front tire. But it does have a pretty straight body, from what we can tell. Well, save for the protruding rust present in just about every body panel. But personally, we wouldn’t bother trying to give this thing a 100-point restoration. We’d clean it up, get it running, and just drive the heck out of it!
That is, if the price is right. We all know that old slick Richard works hard to extract every penny he can from his flips. But in this case, as cool as this old Ford F-100 is, it might actually be worth overpaying just a tad!
