To combat the high temperatures produced by the turbos, the Euro Ford Edge uses turbo and exhaust manifolds containing 30% nickel. In addition, Ford added water-cooling to the turbo bearings and low-pressure turbo housing.

Ford’s 2.0-litre EcoBlue engine will come in two other configurations – a 190 hp all-wheel drive version with a 6-speed manual, and a 150 hp front-drive version with an 8-speed automatic. Opting for the range-topping 2.0 nets you Ford’s intelligent all-wheel drive system and the 8-speed slushbox.

The all-new European Ford Edge makes its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show, taking place March 8-18. The all-new ‘ute hits dealer lots later this year.
