BUILDUP A 2004 Ford Excursion XLT Project

Maybe the bow-tie fans have the Chevrolet Suburban, but the Ford fanatics have something much better — the Ford Excursion!

To even compare the two seems like a stretch, but in basic structure and usage they do certainly seem to be competitors, not that anyone would really be confused about which of the two is the better choice.

At least this is true for most, since we certainly have no trouble discerning it! It seems wonderful that FTE member InmatesRunThePlace has taken on building one of these superb machines, and we can’t wait to see how it turns out!

Though overall in good shape, InmatesRunThePlace has still gone forward with making a few necessary repairs. This includes ARP studs, an EGR cooler, the thermostat, glow plugs, a glow plug controller, and much more.

He is planning to move on to the suspension and the steering, which seems like a wise idea before moving on to anything else! He has already piled up everything he needs to rebuild the front end, and that is definitely good progress!
