Watch the Ford GT Racecar Come to Life
Ford has been on an absolute roll lately. The Blue Oval hasn’t witnessed so much success, or this amount of media coverage since the introduction of the Model A. Everyone is talking about the impressive lineup of good cars the company is producing. And chief among that lineup are the performance models Ford has introduced over the last few years.
That lineup includes everything from the humble Fiesta ST, to the brand new Ford GT, a car that literally stunned the performance world as it was kept a secret all the way up until its debut at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year. We’re still a few months away from the first few cars hitting the dealerships, but that doesn’t mean that Ford is keeping mum about the car any longer.
Over the past few months, details regarding the Ford GT have been slowly trickling out. We know that it will feature a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost motor derived from Ford’s Daytona Prototype program, and that it will have more than 600 horsepower. It will also feature a price tag of over $400,000. However, the biggest news to drop is Ford’s Ford GT racing program that will see the iconic nameplate return to Le Mans and hopefully take the fight back to Ferrari.
To help celebrate that return, Ford has recently debuted a new YouTube video detailing the Design and Aero work that went into both the road legal Ford GT, and the racing version. Check it out below.
