Is This $9k 1969 Ford F-250 a Yay or Nay?
One of the coolest things about the classic truck world are the interesting stories (and mysteries) that each one tells.
Let’s face it; everyone has their own tastes and preferences, and what is cool to one person might be horrific to another. Other times, previous owners make decisions that are simply puzzling.
This nicely restored 1969 F-250 has lived quite an interesting life in it’s own regard. With a mere 66,000 miles on the clock, it has recently undergone a frame-off restoration. A one-owner truck minus the last two years, the original owner interestingly decided to replace the 360 with a 390 when the truck was only three months old.
The (bigger) big block is backed up by a 4-speed manual and 9″ rear end. The paint is a great candy apple red and Wimbledon white combo, accentuated by new wheels and mirrors. The chrome and interior are surprisingly original, which is a testament to how well this truck has been taken care of over the years.
Having a dealership replace an engine in a new truck is something that is simply unheard of these days, but in the 60’s it wasn’t that complicated (or probably that expensive). At $9,000 asking price, would you say yay or nay to this vintage Ford truck?
