This Ford Performance Collection Will Make You Want to Rob a Bank

Everyone measures happiness and wealth in various ways, but regardless whether you feel like money and earthly possessions really matter or not, you’ll still wish you had enough money to buy Jim Click’s Ford Performance collection.

Up for grabs is a drop-dead gorgeous 1966 Ford GT40, a boss 1969 and 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Trans Ams, not one, but freaking two 1964 Shelby 289 Cobras, and lastly, an iconic 1966 Shelby GT350. Ready to rob that bank yet?

Google “Jim Click” and you’ll quickly realize he’s all about the cars. Not only is he a car dealership mogul, but he’s been involved in the racing business for decades, primarily with Ford Performance vehicles, and more often than not at SCCA and SVRA events. Mr. Click reminds me of the saying “Want to become a millionaire, then go racing as a billionaire.” Though I’m certain that’s not the case here.

While the 1966 Ford GT40 is certainly the crown jewel of the collection, it’s the 1964 ‘Competition’ Shelby 289 Cobra that will most likely bring the biggest bucks at the RM Auction scheduled for August 19th through the 20th at none other than Monterey, California. Because of course…

In fact, all but one Ford in this bunch are predicted to bring over a million bucks, with the 1966 Shelby GT350 (chassis no. SFM 6S2363) expected to bring a ridiculously cheap $450,000 bucks… Oh, the poverty…

Happy bidding!
