Undercoating Suggestions
I am going to undercoat the bottom of my cab (possibly the wheel wells) and I was wondering what specific product you would suggest. I have the cab off of the frame right now, so I figured now is a perfect time to lay it on its back and get all the nooks and crannies. I have looked at Por15, Bedliner materials (roll on / spray), Krylon Hammered, etc.. I would love this groups thoughts.

I haven't tried it yet, so I have no experience with it, but the bedliner SPI sells gets used alot for undercoating. It also gets used for sound deadening on inside of door panels. If you go to their site, Southern Polyuerthanes, Inc. , and go to the forums, there is a section devoted just to their bedliner. It answered all of my questions.
As I have been using their primers and clear coats and find them to be excellent products, I plan on using their bedliner as undercoating/sound deadener when I get to that point on my build.

Undercoating
I did the floor, firewall inside and out, and underside of the cab with Lizzard skin heat control and sound deadner.
It's expensive but helps a lot. I plan on using a two part epoxy bedliner called T-Rex on the running boards and inside the fenders.
If it looks good, I will probably do the bed as I am doing a metal floor - not wood.
Hope this helps

I used a product called Monstaliner Monstaliner do-it-yourself roll-on truck bed liner outperforms Herculiner Bed Liner, Duplicolor and Rustoleum Road Warrior. Comes in lots of colors and is a nice thick rubberized coatings... goes on with a roller and brush and looks great...
I wanted the yellow to blend in with my exterior color Millennium Yellow

How do you plan on applying? Ie. Do you have a paint gun that can handle undercoating/ bed liner? If so, there are a lot more options. The tintable bed liner products are pretty nice if you want to match body color.
I went rattle can and liked how the 3M Professional Grade Rubberized turned out. It was more expensive, but it was a little smoother than the Dupli-Color version. Both were better than one I picked up at a swap meet that was pretty gloppy had more of a brownish tint to it. The bed of my truck has a spray can Rust-Oleum Truck Bed Liner. It is a more textured finish (not rubberized) and seems pretty durable.

Here is a deal for the whole kit, all you need is the compressed air source: Tintable is also available and will work just as long as you have some of the original paint/tint to add to it. Not too many people crawling around under your truck to see if the underfloor matches the outer paint color though.
