Mine is an 01 and if your drving and you let off, it acts like you turned the key, but you turn it over and fires right up ike nothing?? I cant figure it out but it seems to only do it until it gets fully warm

 

I would start with the CPS. Known issue. New one costs about $25 - $30 Takes about 5 min to change out.

 

Mine did that a couple of times and it happened when I drove through some water. It seemed that moisture was getting into the CPS or the connection and would instantly shut the truck off. It would always 'start' right back up and I was able to go on my way. My suggestion before just saying that it is a bad CPS, (buy one to have a spare), take out the CPS and clean it and the connections and put it back in and make sure the connection is very good and use sealant around the CPS and connection really well.


The 'seems to only do it until it gets fully warm' seems to be a good clue.
