no brake lights/turn signals?? (Problem identified pg3)

Glad you found the problem, but just as a note for future reference, you can't check a fuse for continuity while in a circuit. Even if the fuse is bad, it will read good because it will feed back through the motor, bulb or what ever it is hooked to. Always remove the fuse to check unless you are checking both sides for voltage. Don't ask how I know this......Jim

The brake circuit goes through the multi function switch and after years of using it and putting the tilt wheel up and down it separates the wires, sometime just loosens the connection. I found this out when I was down at a training in va and didn't have time to mess with my truck so I took it to a dealership there, dropped it off one afternoon, they called in the morning with it repaired, total cost was something like $185, pretty good price for me and I didn't have to stress about it. Don't know why Ford would put everything through the column but it's one of those things that engineers do, when you have a complete wiring harness the least amount of connectors is more cost effective i guess. I will say this was a great reading with all the other symptoms and solutions. A couple more months and i will be home to my truck stg
