ok guys i got a 3in down pipe, in to 4in stright, i got a stack kit that is 4in in to 4in stacks. but liking the 5 in stacks now, my truck is a short bed, with a fule tank in the bed, i cut the tank so it will set over the y and cover the pipe, then stacks come up beside it, what do you think 4 or 5 in turn outs?? is ther a diff in sound or any thing>> or should i just stay with the 4in stacks since i have them?? thanks
i have room for a heat sheild, i was planing on runnin all 4in pipe, so i cut the tank 8in over and 8 up so it was not right on pipe. what you think still put a heat shield on??? 5 doae look sweet! i have side tread plate boxes on the go up 2 tank, stacks should look nice. well you get a diff sound tone from 5 than 4??
it all depends on what you like in your truck, heat is an issue but it honestly doesnt get that hot. i have had TONS of plastic bottles just hang out inbetween the bed and the ypipe and never melt. i personally think 4" looks weird in the bed as well as 5" but if i had to do 5" stacks i would do miter cuts, but thats just my opinion, 5" stacks are alot more...crisp in tehre sound, 6" like mine drone out the bark and its a little more do able on the highway.
they look good!!! ie that 4in in to 5 or 6??? my side boxs are the over the rail and on a short bed, where your y pipe is should be covered by my tank. iam hopeing the stacks come up at the corners of back window pr just on the inside of rail, they look good and love the black coal!!
yeah i see them, iy looks like a good set up, and iam really likeing the 5 in stacks!! what kinda work do you do?? i do concrete wish i had your long bed!!!
