Stolen from others;

I'm doing a 91 explorer frame under my 47 ford. It appears to fit for as far as I've gotten anyway.

I think it looks like crap and I doubt the front sheet metal will fit and was posted as an example of what not to do, the positive interest surprises me. Shows that I know dick all about nothing (again).

HaHa, I thought so. I saw everyone else's posts and I thought "am I crazy? does that look like it's going to work?"

The front sheet metal can't possibly cover all that front end out there and what about the bed? They'll have to raise the floor of it by half to fit that frame.

My neighbor build a '35 Ford pickup on a S-10 frame with a Ford small block. It looks pretty good. He built the truck using parts from many different Ford truck body parts. He ran into a few problems with the gas tank, exhaust and font sheet metal but they were minor and he was able to work them out.

every frame swap looks like crap untill you put on all the sheet metal, i`m sure if the fenders do not lign up the firewall can be cut and moved back and the cab slid forward, i`ve done a few s10 frame swaps in the past gm to gm, but i would have a tough time using a s10 frame for a ford truck, it can be done quite easily but to me its just not right, i applaud people who try different things, sometimes they work sometimes not, if it does you got yourself a cheap powertrain complete for probably under $500 bux, makes hot rodding more affordable.
