I have breezed through this thread twice now and think it got this down. My '97 has RKE, assuming its a factory system, I looked at my reg cab and didnt see a module. Haven't looked at the crewcab yet.

My question is if you don't have remote keyless entry are the wires still there or am I SOL on swapping the RKE out of my 97 into one of the other trucks? Anyone have RKE on a crew cab, was it even an option?

No one has a crew cab with remote keyless entry i take it then?

 

I'm not sure as I don't have one. Someone might speak up though.

 

I have the RKE module on my 95 F350 Crew Cab. I don't know if the module from your crew cab will simply plug into reg cab though.

i found this under my dash in the center, behind the radio (and it has an fcc id on it). I was wondering if it was at least a keyless entry system, if not a security system. I mean this truck has everything else on it. so it should have something.........

There is a small dark smoke dome in the center of the dash, but i dont know if that the security ligkt like in my car or a sensor for the automatic lights.
