1956 F100 inside door handle.

Hi everyone, wonder if someone has an original inside door handle for my '56 they are willing to part with? The original has a circlip retainer and that's what I need. The new replacement handles have a set screw and I can't get them to stay on. Thanks for looking, Buford in New Mexico.

You need the retainer clip or the handle? if its the clip tou can get those at just about any parts store; I got some from Advanced Auto Parts. I have 53-55 however, they will not fit your 56.

Looks like no one has an inside door handle they are willing to sell? Are these that hard to find? (1956 F100 inside door handle)

Try drilling a very shallow hole (like 1/16") in the shaft where the set screw would sit so it has something to bite into! It'll stay on then.

Here is a picture of an original 56 and an original 53-55. The 56 has the screw and the other has the clip.

I have never posted pictures so I hope this works.

inside door handle.

Thanks for the picture it came out fine...I am quite familiar with the difference between the '53-'55 and the '56's. I still need an inside handle for a '56 F100 with the clip retainer...Thanks everyone for the input, Buford.

Sure, it's interesting that my '56 has the kind with the clip. Guess lots of things can happen in fifty plus years. Let me know how much and where to send money...dingman@tularosa.net
