c6 bolt patterns

I have an 81 F150 with a C6 and 300, and i wanna know if a 351w would bolt to this transmission? Or will i need a new transmission??

Your 351W should bolt up to your C6 just fine with no problems. And no don't need to buy another tranny unless there's something wrong with the one you got.

It will bolt up, but you will need to use the flywheel/flexplate from the 351w.

ok, thanks yall.
I just wasnt sure if the 300 and 351w had the same bolt pattern.

any of the windsor motors should bolt up fine, maybe the cleveland motors too (not sure if they are the same BP)

The rare 351C has the same pattern as a windsor. however, the much more common 351M/400 uses the 460 pattern.

Yeah but the 351M/400 and the 460 are big block engines and won't bolt up to a small block tranny, you'll have to find a big block tranny to bolt up to those big block engines.

so a 300, 302, and 351c/w all have a common bolt pattern.

Some early 351c's had the 460 pattern.
