Will an Efi 460 fit a C6 Transmission

Smile Will an Efi 460 fit a C6 Transmission

I have a EFI 460 ford engine. Will it bolt up to a C6 trans

C6's were used behind many different engines, you have to make sure the bellhousing is the correct one.....did the motor have an automatic behind it before???

Good question so thread moved to Transmission forum.

I am sure though that all 460's have the same bolt pattern for transmissions.

The Bell-housing makes the difference.

Yes, the 460 did come with a C6 optional in trucks for many years up to about '96. As long as the C6 has the big-block bellhousing bolt pattern (351M, 400, 429, 460), it should bolt up.
