I've gotten burned a bunch of times. Often, I'd check a thread several days later and find that my posted links had been deleted. If it hasn't happened to anyone else, that's great. However, I've been burned a number of times, and therefore take measures to deal with the problem, as well as objecting to how limiting such a policy is to the scope and usefulness of the forum. YMMV, but I'm not going to change my views because someone else has successfully avoided the censors.

I don't think anyone is asking you "to change your views". All I said is I was not aware of that policy nor have I experienced any problems, yet...

The video was great (and so is high speed)! I had the conception of spark and combustion being for the most part simultanteous. The video shows it isnt the case. Also the spark isnt a single event but multiple arcs over time.

I guess this is a sort of a hijack but, does anyone here have any experience using an MSD distributor on a Y-block? I keep seeing them on ebay and am tempted..........

Bosch 12SU

Hi, I have a bosch 12su coil and plan to use a 12V battery.

I am guessing I can run it with out the need of a ballast resistor?

Nothing else needed?

Thanks,

If you will use it with points, you will need the resistor if the primary resistance is much below 3 ohms.
If you will use it with electronic ignition, read the ignition's instructions and make sure the primary resistance will work with it.
