The guys in the 1st vid should be using a ****** block on the winch & have a weight on the winch line for safety. When a line breaks it could go anywhere & I can't believe anyone would be stupid enought to put a clevis in the middle of a tow strap.
That guy in the 2nd vid. standing there was lucky he didn't get hit.

In the first vid- is there any safety or recovery rules they DIDN'T break?
Shackle linking two ****** straps.
Winching with people within danger zone.
Using a tow ball to recover with ****** straps.
no blanket or absorber on the winch rope or ****** straps.
No digging beforehand.
Using too light of gear for the pull.
They are very lucky, to say the least.

Those guys could use a lift or two.. maybe a set of M/Ts.. and perhaps some classes on how to go wheelin. ha ha they could also use a full size to follow them around and rescue their keisters with a little more ease. I've seen some pretty sketchy recoveries, but they weren't as bad as those. Just displays their inexperience. Good entertainment though
