the truck is stock, except i lifted the front a little to put 33's on it. it has the originol autolite 4 barrel on it. the carb is warn out. i'm going to order a edlebrock carb & intake sometime this week. (i hope) i also am working on how i can get the truck up in the air more. with the twin i beam front end, i have little options. i hope to have new brackets that are lower to keep the i beams and pinion arms in the same place..? then all i need to do is mod the stearing, which i hope i can make something off a highboy work. i don't know though, i am kicking it around. thats what i get for wanting a 4x4 look with a 2wd.
Yupe thats what I have heard around here, That its a pain to make a 2wd into a 4x4.
I raised my trucks rearend up two inches and stuffed some new Firestone Indy 500 Tires and Rancho rs5000 shocks on all four corners. Rides great! Except she does drift alittle now and then. Going to be replacing all the bushings maybe this summer.
One little bit of advice... make sure you drain the coolent out before you go and pull off that old intake. Lets just say that I didn't and almost paid for it. ( milk shake )
