460 Build Question

460 Build Question
I recently purchased a 460 from a 1977 F-250 (original engine). I have also acquired a set of nice D0VE-C heads and a Weiand Stealth intake manifold.
My intention is to install either a Comp Cams Extreme 4x4 X4250H or X4262H camshaft.
According to my calculations if I use a .060 thick head gasket my compression ration will be very close to 8.9:1.
Emissions inspections are not a concern. I am trying to build an engine that runs well, has decent torque and will run fine on 87 octane fuel.
I'm hoping someone can confirm my compression ratio calculations and advise if this is a good "package" in terms of meeting my objectives.

You should have a pretty good combo. Close to mine but I am using a 73 block. If I remember right the 73 up block have the tall deck height. With the small chamber heads work good on mine. I use a 268 comp cam though. But when I built it I was doing a lot of towing and the Comp rep said it was better than the extreme 4x4 for my application. If I had to build for non towing I would go with a 280 comp.
You don't say what you are using the engine for? Street, race, towing, etc???
Be sure to check the RPM's you will be using your engine in, I had bought a Stealth intake also to put on mine, but I sent it back when I rethunk the RPM range. I just used a stock intake.
