Pullrite travel trailer hitch

One of my current projects is installing a Pullrite travel trailer hitch on my F350. I know no one really needs a hitch like that on a dually, but if you tow a travel trailer and want something that makes sway vanish instantly, these things are incredible.

They are also pricey as the devil, but I was at a farm equipment auction a few weeks ago and no one knew what it was, so I got it for $60.00. I have to weld up a bracket to fit my truck when the weather warms, after removing the factory hitch.

All I have right now is the hitch. Once I get going on it, I'll take some pictures. With a dually, a Pullrite is overkill and I think one of the most important things is setting the rig and truck up correctly. Your hitch is certainly a good one and, if I had not blundered into the Pullrite, I would not have it now.

I have the pull rite 16K in my SWB and like it but I am going to go to a gooseneck adapter on my 5th wheel. The problem is is that slide hitch weighs 240 LBS and I have to use my tractor to get it out of the truck when not in use. It also takes up the entire bed with a tool box installed. I like it and it pulls good. It tucks it in nice and tight to the cab of the truck for better fuel economy but backing it up sucks. I do not know if it is the cam action that slows it down or what but if you get in a tight spot you may have to pull up several times in order to get it where you want where-as a gooseneck would not have that issue. Nice hitch though I will get a picture up here in a little bit.

Taken tonight so the coloration is off but you can see how much of the bed they take up.

I was, but enjoy hearing about anything to do with RV or towing equipment. I am not sure many folks are even aware of the travel trailer/cargo trailer hitches Pullrite makes. When it come to sway control, they are awesome (as is their price). They essentially make tag-alongs feel just like fifth wheels in terms of stability.

Your right I was totally unaware of them making a bumper pull style. I was thinking wow you got a good deal LOL.

No issues with the tool box and this is a sliding hitch so short bed is not an issue.

I'm curious about that too. After seeing this thread I went to the Pullrite site and learned quite a bit. I'd like to know what they cost.

I have not gotten around to installing the Pullrite on my dually. I have had an incredibly busy year and it is on my list as a winter project, along with a number of mods to my truck. I have towed with them in the past and they really are the real deal when it comes to towing travel trailers. I might have had it on by now, but have to modify the exhaust at the same time.
