Euro Headlight bulbs

well i got some Euro headlights and turn signals and corner markers well over a month ago for my 92 Flareside. but i havent put them on yet. the main 2 reasons are time, and CANT FIND FREAKING AMBER BULBS!!!! what part numbers are the amber bulbs for the turn signal and corner marker? cause every parts site i look at they only post the part numbers for the clear bulbs for stock lenses. and im wanting to try to put these in before it gets really really cold out so im actually able to stand being outside for more than 15 minutes

remember these are for the 92 Flareside.
and thanks for the answers ahead of time.

Just walk into your local auto parts store with it. They will have the bulb you need and you won't give yourself a headache anymore.

keep in mind the "blue" headlight bulbs that come with the kit burn out very quickly. I have this similar setup on my 86, and the bulbs last only about 6 mths.

Thats good, stay away from blue tinted bulbs. They reduce the amount of light and run hotter. All blue or other tinted headlight bulbs are junk anyway. Silverstar is junk as well.

The bulbs you need are 3157NA for amber.

If you are looking for the stock orange bulbs, like in mine below, the only place I could find them was the dealer and they aren't even in their general bulb stock. They had to look up the number that was listed for a '92-'96 F-Series.

I just went down to pepboys and got the amber version of the stockers, so 3157A, 194A, and 912/922A Just pull the stock ones, and go down and just ask for amber ones.

Bulb chart in owner's book tells you the bulb type number (ie 1156 or 3156), the letter suffix (na=see thru orange, a=orange, or none=clear) tells you the color. I hope this helps. You could get the chrome ones that change to color when on, or LEDs from Recon that are clear when off.

The Ultras should be brighter.

The Silverstars only appear brighter because of the whiter light. It creates the illusion that its brighter. A true clear bulb like GE Nighthawk, Phillips Vision Plus or Xtreme or Xtravision etc will actually produce more light.

I know the GE Nighhawks work much better in our 97 Cobra than the STs did.

Have had both types of STs. I can way that in rain and fog they suck. I also don't like how they give off what I call false colors.

There is some good info here.
