LED bulb questions...

I'm planning on getting some clear turn signals and I'm upgrading to the clear/amber LED cab lights soon.

I'm looking for affordable amber LED bulbs for the turn signals, corner lights, and marker lights by the headlights...

Where is a good place to buy them? I don't feel like spending huge amounts of money of them (Like the Recon bulbs).

Also, I'll need 2 3157's and 4 916's, right?

That will cover both front turn signals, both front corner lights, and the two marker lights on the corner of the turn signals, right?

Have you checked out Retro's led bulbs? They have everything you want, but idk how affordable you think they are.

I bought mine at VatoZone. Even the cheap ones like I had weren't cheap.

Their prices aren't too bad... they have the 3157's and the 194's in amber, but not the 916 style...

I want to get all the same brand of bulbs so the color will be the same...

They only had red 3157's at the Vatozone here... maybe I can order them in.

I was planning on using these guys when I do my LED conversion. on the left side of the screen theres a shop by vehicle tab it lists all the posibilities for your truck. I've already done the cab lights. it is so cool the way the LED cab lights light up the road signs at night.

remember, LED's have different resistance that filament bulbs, and cause all kinds of lighting problems.
no or fast cycling blinkers, and brake lights staying on are two of them

the place i was recommending also sells electronic flashers that work with both filament and LED lights. and if you dont like the flasher they also sell load resistors that simulate filament current.

Most everything out there these days has the resistors built in.
Evan, all mine were the same brand but because of a different number of LED's in the 3157's they were a different color.

Everything amber on the crew cab is led. I can look at numbers if you need them. The road signs lighting up is super cool at night. Haven't done the rears yet so the blinkers still work the same.

Thanks for all the info fellas.

For the cab clearance lights I'm getting the clear ones from LMC... my stock ones are leaking and the lenses are getting cracked.

That would be helpful. The stock bulb # for the corner lights is 916, but no one makes a 916 LED bulb, but I think they make one that works in the same slot.
