Ford has a TSB that I have noted in the title of this reply how this would cause truck to stop running don't know. Maybe worth looking at though.

The only thing that would cause the engine to stop running then create a no crank no start condition symptom would have to be in the ignition switch/system. I had some troubleshooting diagrams for you, but do not know how to attach. Send email and i could email images. But something to cause both of your issues would either have to be a failure of multiple components or the only one that both have in common, ignition. Single component failure much more likely.

that is what i thought i tested it from power coming in and throught it. i started with main power to switch check all leads and start wire to fuse pannell is green i should get 12 volts out at starter wire witch is yellow with blue stripe and i dont, even with new fuse pannell. it seems like there is a safty like nutral safty holding out crank circuit or some other safty holding it out??

thanks for your help Dave!!!!

Once you have drained your batteries, just driving it will not properly recharge them. If you did not quickly put them on a charger after the deer lease trip, then you could easily have damaged your FICM (Fuel Injection Control Module) due to low system voltages. There are quite a few recent threads on checking it and repairing it (if needed).

There is also a troubleshooting guide on "no starts" in the Tech Folder.

I looked a my prints for a 2003 and it shows that there is a starter relay inside the central junction box that has to come in before you get power to the starter motor. Also there is a couple of fuses that can be checked. F2.113 and F2.31, both are located in the central junction box. I would use a meter and check to make sure that there is power on both sides of these fuses when the ignition is in the start position. I would also check the relay to see if it is coming in when the ignition is in the start position.
