Leaking Steering Gear Box ... Anybody tried the Reseal Kit??
Found drips from my Drag Link where it bolts to the Steering Arm today. The steering arm was wet as was the shaft coming out of the gear box.
The gear box (7C3Z-3504-A) is pretty dang expensive! More so than I would've thought!
However, I did see a "Steering Gear Reseal Kit" P/N 3C3Z-3E502-A available. This requires tearing into the gear box, but is much more affordable.
Has anybody tackled the "reseal" job? If so, how was it?

I did the seal on my 1978 t-bird steering box last year, it was leaking by the pitmman arm shaft, you need a puller to get the arm off and you don't have to pull the box apart, the auto parts will let you use one or they only cost 20 bucks, it was not too hard it was just two round seals to replace I don't know how different the boxes are today, I wouldn't think that much. It was really hard to tighten back on though, you may need an impact wrench to get it on and off.
