2001 ford expedition diactivating interior lights

I did my research but most of the time it was only regarding the rear hatch. I need to keep my interior lights off with the two front doors open and the rear hatch.

I have a dimmer but it won't turn off the step board and interior lights. The purple and white wire thing won't work with me (i think) because my doors will be open as well.

You may wonder why. Well, i'm into car audio and when playing my system the front doors and rear hatch have to be opened.

I hope someone can give me advice on this maybe rigging up some kind of switch of some sort. I want to find another way other than taking out the fuse.

Help....

pull the interior lamp relay in the junction box. Check the user manual for the right one (although it might be listed on the inside of the fuse box)

option 2 - there is an orange / lt green striped wire coming out of the electonic module. This is the dome lamp switch - I think you can disconnect it and it disables everything the lights.

Thanks for the Information. I'll check the orange/green striped wire from the electronic module..

One more question... where is the electronic module??? Wiring stereos subs and amps, i have no problem but when i comes to car electronics i get kinda lost.

Passenger side footwell, up on the firewall.

I would try the relay first. I think that will be much easier.
