Tail light bulb replacement

Hi,

First of all I tried the search and it was a joke, now on to a very basic question. My 2002 Mercury Mountaineer left brake/turn signal light just went out and I can't seem to see how to get the bulb out. Anybody have the answer?

Thanks, Chuck

You'll find instructions for replacing all the external bulbs in the vehicle's owner's manual.

Open the rear hatch and you will see two screws. Remove them and then pull out the brake light lense assembly toward the rear. Don't overtighten the screws upon reinstallation.
