I have a coolant leak on my 2008 F350 6.4L. Does anyone know if this is a common problem? It is dripping near the rad at the front driver's side , but I can't see exactly where it is comming from. Its hard to see much of anything through the 7 coolers in the front. It still has warranty, but I have to wait a few days before it goes in the shop.

You have a leaky radiator. They come apart at the crimp between the core and the tank.
There is a TSB now and supposedly the tech needs to add a venturi in addition to replacing the radiator.

Its a known issue and will be taken care of by Ford.

There is a link on the top navigation bar to all Recalls/TSB's.

 

Mine leaked after about 5,000 miles. Take it to Ford, let them fix it. It is under warrenty. I'm at 20,000 miles now and no more leaks. Like the above response stated, Ford knows about it and they will fix it for free.

what job#'s are the leakys most common on? Is Job3 pretty much leak free, or are those also prone to rad leaks.
