I had a 2 inch helper spring in the front of my 93 F250. You can get 2.5 degree camber and caster slugs, it is a balencing act. I did my own alignment's. You can alos get caster shims that go under the srping pack as well. But the biggest thing that wears tires on these trucks is camber and incorrect toe.. I got 100,000km out of a set of BFG A/Ts 295/70r16s. Ran max tire pressure and always rotated every 10,000km.

Well no.. On my tire's max was 65 psi. So thats what i alway's ran them at.. If your tires have a max rating of 80 psi then running them at 70 on the front would be good. Is your truck a 250 or 350??

A friend of mine owned a 97, he sold it to his dad and bought a 2002 7.3L. He told me the 97 had more power than his 03. I do know the 03 has 35" tires on it and the 97 are stockers, that has something to do with it.

Was the 03 a 6.0 or 7.3?

Let me think.........Yes I let the dealership put the recall cam sensor in. They screwed it up! Glass shop put in a windshield for me and had a shop put a brake caliper on my wifes car while were on vacation and I had no tools. Other than that nobody else has every worked on any of my vehicles other than me.

doing alignments is not bad if you have an alignment rack and experience. IMO alignments should be done on a rack by an experienced tech. Tires are too expensive to be tearing up. The TTB is not the most difficult axle to align but its not easy either. A shelf full of camber/castor bushings helps greatly for trial and error.

PS- I am a certified mechanic (only wrench on my day off now though) with access to a full shop. That kind of makes it like cheating for a question like that.
