There is a reason why they don't post MPG on the window sticker .
Don't buy a 6.0 and think you will get great mileage because it won't happen no matter what that friend of a friend got with his.

Get a 6.0l because you want and like it. If you get good mileage on a tank here and there... then that will be an added plus! Sometimes I miss my '95 7.3L, it was a strong motor that could take a beating. But so can the 6.0L. Make sure to purchase gauges to monitor the engine. Oh, leave the Edge in the '97! If you want tunes give Matt a call at Spartan, one of the site sponsors. Happy 6.0L hunting!
i got guages in my 97 i will be pulling when i get a new truck... and yea i do not care much about the edge anyways.. but thanx guys i will keep in touch with you all but if all goes well within 6 monthes i am going to have me a new truck...
none of you guys sneak over to the 1994.5 to 1997 forum and tell them i have been thinking about getting a 6.0 lol i have not talked to them in about 2 weeks... just not really had the time... and i have been ecstatic about getting a new truck...
I was getting around 17.5 on a stock 05 f250 King Ranch but then I had the HPOP problem fixed and right after the fix was getting 16.6. I looked under the hood and the dealer forgot to plug in my air sensor on the intake tube so I plugged it in but now I'm only getting 15.5. Driving habits the same...what happened to my MPG?
i just popped all of my mileage into excel last night to do some comparisons, and over 21K+ i averaged 17.1 with around 80% hwy, 15% city, and 5% towing 6K to 10K. average hwy was 18.1, keeping speeds at 68 or less.
