The cab was painted today.

Today my cab was painted on the 53. Everything is starting to come together now. The guy who owns the panel shop did a good job for me, I am hopeless at painting so he did the honors. The pics are only average because I took them on my cell phone.

See how the reflection of the fluro lights and the crappy cell phone picture shows the blue to be almost white.

Thanks OZ, it's starting to look like a truck now. It took a long time to find the right colour that I wanted. We just couldn't get the original Glacier Blue right.

Looks great I know how good it feels to be at this point. I build vehicals for customers and even when they are not mine it feels good. Quick question for you did ford make RHD's for sale over their or was this one converted?

Nothing makes as much difference as fresh paint! That looks really nice! The dash threw me for a minute til I remembered it's RHD.

It looks really nice. I think the pictures are very good quality.

Panel shop? I've seen you use the term before in your posts. That must be the Aussie name for a body shop? I find the use of the term interesting because I run a "Panel shop" but I build industrial control panels, the kind you see when you go into a factory and see the boxes with all the switches and flashing lights.

Looks pretty good from this end. My painters had my truck for almost a year now and I'm getting pretty restless.I don't want to complain til it's done though. I have seen four or five other vehicles moved out and mine pushed around the shop.

Congrats on Cab Paint

I had my cab spot painted a week ago and have it back on the frame; it really does feel like progress is being made when you see the final color ! I bolted the cab to frame and replaced the mounting hardware, hopefully for the last time.

Later

Looks Great !

Sorta like cresting the hill once the paint goes on. Now the fun stuff begins.
